About
“Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don’t be sorry.”
― Jack Kerouac
I’ve been inspired by Jack Kerouac a lot lately. I am on a mission to live my life the way I want with adventure, travel, and making my own way. I am following my dream at all costs of being a writer. I hope to inspire others to find what makes them feel alive.
I’ve been told I have commitment issues, but I guess I just don’t see the point in committing to a J-O-B you don’t like or a person you don’t want to spend the rest of your life with (I’ve almost made it down the aisle a couple of times but ran the other way). I have moved several times in my adult life (spending most of it in the San Diego area) which a lot of people call flakey, but I thrive change and exploration. I don’t see what the problem is.
One of my friends told me that he doesn’t think I want to get married and have a family. I had to laugh (I love when other people tell me what I want or how I feel). I want to get married and have little surf babies when I find the right person, but guess what?! You can still have a family and travel or live in a different country! Shocking, I know!
I love music, concerts, being socially unacceptable, writing, reading, surfing, prank calling my ma, and traveling.
Other than that I have an unhealthy obsession with Reese’s peanut butter cups, think Bananagrams is the best game ever, and still think Napoleon Dynamite is one of the best movies of all time.
How could I not follow a blog with such a great name. Feel like I’ve found a kindred spirit.
Hi Janet! Thanks so much for reading my babbling blog. I look forward to reading yours too after I finish nursing this hangover. :p
Great blog! It was very refreshing to read. You sound like a wild woman. I like it:)
I have been called wild a time or two :). Thanks for reading!
I just started reading this and its great! Thank you for writing something for “nontraditional commitment phobic” women!
Thanks, Jacquie! Some may call me commitment phobic, but I like to think of it as being adventurous and not committing to a job or man or place I don’t want to be stuck with :). HEYO!
